John Cater graduated from the University of Auckland in 1996. He is
currently working towards a PhD in fluid mechanics and is studying the
mechanics and structure of vortex rings and Zero-Net-Mass flux jets. He
uses Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) to study in-plane velocity fields
and out-of-plane vorticity.
