Eddy has an interest in computational fluid dynamics. He has examined an alternative method that simplifies numerical modelling of fluid dynamics and heat transfer simulations. In his final year project, a finite volume method was used with the application of the embedded boundary technique, to analyse conduction heat transfer over a square orifice using varying boundary conditions. Transport of a scalar quantity in a known velocity field, representing fully developed laminar channel flow, was also examined. This novel technique is currently being used to introduce moving boundaries in channel flows.
